This is a good game and the graphics are pretty good. In order to run this game on Windows XP Home Edition, you will need to run this in Windows Compatibility Mode (I got this to run in Windows 2000 compatibility mode). Trying to run this game Windows XP results in a "Lock-up" of the PC. The Windows 95/98 gave an enumeration error and Windows NT 4.0 wouldn’t run at all. We have an older Joystick that is connected to the PC using a Serial to USB converters (USB Nest). The joystick had to be disconnected from the PC in order to get Madden NFL 2001 to run. A joystick that has a USB connector will work without any problems.

Madden NFL 2001 may not be perfect, but no sports game is. The graphics are as superb as everyone says and the gameplay is excellent. There is something here for everyone. If you want to run your own team over time, the franchise mode includes all the elements including a salary cap. At the same time, people looking for an arcade style football game can simply pick two teams and play against each other. There are many of the great teams from history, every football stadium in the league, etc.

Are there negatives? Sure. The AI isn’t always perfect. There are times when it seems that the computer controlled player is going to score and you can’t stop their passing game no matter what you do. That said, I’ve managed to put up great defensive and offensive numbers and spent more hours having fun than I can count. I realize Madden 2002 is out now, but this is still a great game well worth playing.

The e-cards are great, especially the level cards. They bring something new to an already great game. But most interesting is that they bring in elements from other mario games in such as vegetables, feather, poison mushrooms, ghost houses, etc.
My only wish is that I would have snatched up all of the packs of these cards as I could at the time, they are now extremely hard to find.
The major downside to these cards is you need to buy a lot of accessories to even use them, and unless you know someone else with another GBA, you’re going to need another one of those too.

While you do need a second GBA system (or a GC with a GC Player) and an eReader to make these cards useful, they do add amazing amounts to the game itself. Super Mario Bros. 3 is perhaps the best game in the series, and each pack of these cards includes at least 5 new game levels and two major "alterations" to the game. If you’d like to experience brand new SMB3 levels for a fairly low cost, I highly recommend these cards.

The Super Mario Bros. 3-e cards are great. If you’re stuck on a level, you can use a power-up card to get a free item. If you want to open up a White Mushroom house, scan a demo card which will show you exactly how to do it. If you beat the game, grab a Level card for a new challenge. The only problem is you have to have two GBA systems (an SP or Game Boy Player will also work) and a GBA universal link along with the E-Reader, the game, and the cards. I, however, already had all that is necessary so it worked out for me. So if you already have everything besides the cards, buy the cards.

ok let me start by saying you need at least $200 to shell out if you want to use these cards. you need to buy 2 gameboy advance (sp if desiresd), super mario 3 for gameboy advance, an e-reader, a gameboy sp link cable and this pack of cards of corce. why would nintend make it such a hassle to buy all of this wen they could of easaly made all these features avalable on the game? They wont people to shell out all the money they can to make their game a bit better. If you have all these items id buy if if you dont id forget all about it. i was gonna buy it till i found out evry thing i needed. It is important to plan ahead for Toys for Tots. You see so many of us run across things during the year we pass over, but do not have too. We may see a new toy at a Garage Sale totally unopened and still in the package for sale for $1.00 or less.

Surely we can spare a dollar right now and save it for Christmas Time, think about what that gift will mean to a needy kid some day. Consider a smile on some child?s face and that one-dollar you spent; one-buck made a difference, yet if you pass by that close out sale or bargain corner and do not spending a buck or two you missed that opportunity you see?

Each year the United States Marine Corp Reserve volunteers to work to collect and deliver toys to needy children and they need your help. Each year you may even think about this and some years or maybe every year you donate a toy. That is a very wonderful, honorable and noble thing you have done.

Now then lets see if we can all do this a little better, a little more efficiently and that might make all the difference. But this is really the realization of the ideas and perfection of the gameplay that past Call of Duty games have hinted at. Call of Duty 2 wowed many gamers into buying the first wave of Xbox 360s, and Call of Duty 4 should not disappoint. A complex, refined multiplayer along with a cinematic single-player campaign make this the package that FPS players have been looking for.

I started out borrowing this game from a friend for like a month, but now its been 3 months and he doesn’t have his game and im still happily playing it. I used to play Halo 3 a lot more than i have recently began to play this game. It requires strategy and thinking tactically. It also challenges your sense of hearing and seeing.The campaign is thoroughly well done, making it feel quite realistic and enveloping. Online multiplayer lets you join in the middle of games and lets you readily keep track of your stats(K/D ratio, win/loss ratio, headshots, assists, etc.)The weapons are all real modern generation weapons, all customizable to ur liking. The only thing i could say isn’t good is the annoying voices of 10 year olds screaming in your ear and using the vulgar language that they don’t know, plus the fact that there are some glitchers or people who use turbo controllers. NO, I do not work for Infinity Ward or Activision. Good luck and have fun on Xbox Live!!!!!!!

This game is great.
MultiPlayer:
Similar game to Counterstrike with different objective style games such as Bombing the targets or halo3 style where its just straight team deathmatch. Also has free for all and some other gametypes. I hated the earlier versions of the games because of the old style weapons and the feel of the gameplay, this one is 100x better.
The maps take some time to learn as well as the weapons. Until you learn the maps you have no idea where the enemy will be coming from.
Cons: There is no way to review the scores at the end to see who had the most killing streaks, head shots, kill ratios, etc. Also unlike Halo3 there is no guest spot for online multi-player. If you have a friend who wants to play your stuck playing against him only in 4 player local splitscreen with no internet play, which sucks. The only way to play online with friends is for them to be on a separate xbox with a separate xbox live account.
The multi-player is highly addictive and fun. The maps and guns are well balanced. The search times are very low(sometime instant because you can join games in progress) and the lag is usally low compared to Halo3. The guns are modeled after real guns, there is gun recoil, and you die from any guns with just a handful of bullets(unlike halo3 where you can take about 20 shots before dying)

Single player:
The single player is awesome as well, though I beat it in about a week, without devoting the whole day to the game. I’m sure it would take longer on a more difficult setting. The missions and effects are creative, though sometimes it feels like there is an endless supply of enemies until you figure out you just have to advance forward for them to stop respawning.

The campaign mode is short but fun. The online multiplayer is the biggest part of the game and it is one hell of a ride.
